Sparky

Sparky is a 6 year old spotted miniature donkey who was bought at auction last November. He was gelded 3 days after arrival and has been vaccinated with boosters. He was quite a feisty little guy prior to being gelded, but is now much calmer. Sparky is very friendly and definitely enjoys attention. He is also halter trained and leads well.

Sparky has likely foundered in the past. He will require management of his nutrition and regular hoof care to avoid future problems. Sparky likely had severely overgrown hooves that were trimmed significantly prior to auction. He has some irregular growth on his front hooves that may be a result of injury to the coronet bands. Sparky was visibly shaking the first time his hooves were done, but is now quite comfortable with being trimmed.

Sparky is a great little donkey who needs a home where he will be loved and treated with understanding and kindness. He would make a good guard donkey despite his small size. He needs to be adopted by a home where there is another donkey as he prefers the company of donkeys over horses.

Cosmo In Foster Care

Cosmo is a Belgian yearling bought from auction last November as a skinny, wormy, wild weanling. He has gained weight nicely and is very comfortable around people now. He is a big sweetheart who is very gentle. He is halter-trained and picks up his feet for the farrier. Cosmo needs a home with experience training draft horses.
